Compute North Breaks Ground on 100 Megawatt Hosting and Colocation Development in Nebraska
The new 100MW site will power large-scale data operations for a much lower cost.
Compute North, an industry leader in high-powered large-scale data infrastructure, recently broke ground on a next-generation site in Kearney, Nebraska. This will serve as a critical location to expand our blockchain and hosting infrastructure. Construction is beginning immediately for the first phase consisting of 30MW and is anticipated to be online this summer.
“This is a groundbreaking day for Compute North,” said CEO Dave Perrill. “We’re beyond enthused to be partnering with the great state of Nebraska, the city of Kearney and the Nebraska Public Power District to make this project a huge success. Their determination to be on the forefront of the next generation of computing has been very exciting, and we’re proud to be a key part of it.”
This site will be the third site for Compute North and is being opened in response to growing market demand. Nebraska will offer 100MW of capacity and will service customers from all over the globe. The site is specifically meant to accommodate large-scale users with over 1MW of requirements.
“We are proud of the reputation that we’ve build in this industry. My team and I are prepared and ready to deliver for our customers at our new Nebraska location,” said Nate Hubert, VP of Operations at Compute North. “The site is perfect for our business with large-scale access to power, connectivity, located in a community with a great climate and great people. It’s going to be a huge success.”
“We’re seeing explosive growth in the cryptocurrency industry as well as other high-performing applications that need cost-effective, large-scale colocation services by an organization that can deliver,” Perrill continued.
With 100MW of raw processing power strategically located at a site with low energy costs, this new data center can handle AI, blockchain, machine learning, crypto mining, and more at a lower cost and higher ROI.
Full-scale operations are expected to commence in early October. Space is already filling up, so be sure to reserve your spot today.
